The Devil Wears Prada

What a classic.

I absolutely adore this film.

Following Andy (Anne Hathaway) around New York is hilarious as she tries to navigate the cut throat Fashion Industry with Emily Blunt playing her stuck up supervisor ('Emily') and Meryl Streep flawlessly pulling off 'Miranda Priestly', fiercely displaying her powers as the devil of the biggest magazine in the world.

It's been a while since I last saw it but I'm so glad I revisited it. Albeit there were some aspects that I had overlooked when first watching that were a bit harder to do this time round, the cliched slow walks around the streets of New York to just hammer home Hathaway's despair were a bit too much. Having said this though, it's a film of it's time. It's meant to be cliched, cheesy and all of that. But it's lasted because it's also brilliant. And to be honest I don't really care about the cliched aspects, it's fun.

It's one of those few films where Hathaway isn't irritating and of course, Streep is fabulous, as she is in everything. EMILY BLUNT. It's worth a watch simply for her performance, bloody brilliant. And Stanley Tucci! Stanley Tucci is flawless, absolutely flawless.

Solid 5 stars for this, absolutely love it.

In a sentence: Watch it once, twice, a million times and if you haven't seen it you must, it's a pure nnnnnnnlllllclassic.
