LOVE. I actually adore all of these Kristen Wiig films. They're all so clever and funny. Ok, so this film is slightly cliched (ends up with the hot guy her who's moved into her old room/falls from a New York hotshot to nothing/builds up from nothing to success/realises family is the most important thing BLA BLA BLA, but honestly? I don't care. I still really like this film. It's still good. Which i think is some high praise, considering all it's faults I'm still able to overlook them and conclude that it's still a good damn film. Although, in fairness, i am a sucker for these kind of rom-com type films. And there are also extra twists in it which highlight it as a film that isn't just a standard rom-com.

Wiig is obviously brilliant in this film, that kind of comment goes without saying really. But the mother (Annette Bening) is the real gem. This actress is a true talent. She was hilarious but then also able to bring a tone to the film which may nt have been present without her.

In a Sentence: Bloody fab.

P.S. I know all of these recent reviews are well short but i'm a bit behind so am just trying to bomb them out as fast as I can.
