LOVE.
This is such an important film. Unfortunately the film industry is white and white led and that's so fucking shit. But this isn't. This is real. This is relevant. This is fucking important. Yes, it's kind of satirical with the monster side of things (which makes it bloody funny) but the political undertone is fascinating. It's a film about race, youth, injustice, and essential survival. It's a crucial insight into the much unnoticed racist system we live in, showcased at the very end when the protagonist is dragged away. I get that it seemed he had committed a crime etc.etc. and hopefully he would have been released after questioning but still, it's highlighting something that needs to be talked about a greater depth in society. It's easy to be unaware of these kinds of artistes when they're not as noticeable as places like America, but they're still prevalent. This film is a great and truthful insight into that injustice.

In a sentence: watch it, if only once, it's worth it.
