Dazed and Confused

Richard Linklater is a bloody genius.

Seriously, a genius.

The characters create this film, making it captivating, hilarious, but above all truthful. It engages with one of the most overshadowed portions of cinema: teenagers. Yes, a lot of films are about teenagers but a lot of the time they are written by out of touch, writers, writing about generic themes, that holds no resonance with the current generation. It's refreshing to watch something that does actually hold some truth to the current generation, even if it was released over 20 years ago, its like 'The Breakfast Club' - those kinds of films are timeless.

I wish this review could do it the justice it deserves, make it sound as cool as it is. But I'm incapable of that.

in a sentence: classic Linklater, but if you don't like his other films, you won't like this.
