Meh.
I know, I KNOW, Hitchcock is a genius, but this is no Hitchcockian masterpiece. I'm no expert on his films but I've seen the few I've seen and I've been blown away by them, but The Birds is not one of those films. Rear Window definitely is, but this just isn't on the same level. There is a limited plot, the characters are interesting but I was never invested enough to be able to watch the film without my mind wondering. It just didn't hook me like the other films i've seen have.
Like I said, I'm no expert, but i feel Hitchcock has a certain style where he builds up pace very slowly, it starts with a very medial plot before it suddenly explodes everywhere at glorious heights, but this film doesn't quite do that.
So it's alright but i won't be revisiting it.
In a sentence: Yeah, it's not his best.
