WHAT A FILM.
Seriously, i know it's in Swedish and a lot of people wouldnt have time or the patience to sit and read your way through a film but i implore you to do just that. Trust me, after a few short minutes you become so engrossed by every single aspect of the film that you forget its even in another language, you forget that you're reading the subtitles.
It's genuinely sensational.
I've been wanting to get into Scandinavian cinema for a while and this was such a good taster into that world. The cinematography, acting, writing - EVERYTHING was incredible. It has this unique feel to the film which i've never experienced before, this depth which was so much greater than any hollywood film i've seen. It's not cheesy or unbelievable at any stage, i genuinely believed that what i was watching could not just have occurred, but easily occurred, within the real world. It was such a riveting watch.
In a sentence: one of my favourite films. ever. (i know that's more than one sentence but allow it)
