You know what? I actually quite liked this film.

It was definitely better than the original, unlike the original I never got bored or disinterested, in fact, i enjoyed all of it. The core of the film being based around what could be considered a tenuously sexist point: the fact that sororities can't hold parties- I think is a prime, countless, time when sexism seems to be engrained in institutions that we're mostly not even aware of. Ok maybe that was a bit of the top, I get there are places where girls can't even go to school but its a point that did still really anger me. AND NOT ACHKNOWLEDGING THAT IS LIKE EVERY TIME YOU'VE BEEN TOLD TO SIT DOWN OR LAUGHED AT FOR WANTING TO DO SOMETHING THEY ALL THOUGHT YOU COULDN'T.

Ok, none of those things have actually ever happened to me, but I understand from popular culture that they do still happen in some parts of our society. Which is fucking ludicrous. But still, i liked the premise of the film. I loved the cast - Chloe Grace Moritz proving once again why she's so fucking awesome and of course Rose Byrne and Seth Rogan were awesome- as always. And it's another insight into Efron at least trying to do something different. Similar to the film, it's trying to do something different to most comedies, the characters are actually fully fleshed out!

In a sentence: better than the first.
