Ok so this is a film that comes with lots of misconceptions. From the trailer I assumed it was a sappy love story that would inevitably be shit. But I was wrong. It was a hungover late Sunday morning/afternoon and I just put it on for no particular reason. And I'm so glad that I did. The film is not just funny but real. It is actually real. A rarity in cinema nowadays. It's original, taking a line that I didn't expect and one I was glad for.
Surprisingly, none of the characters irritated me, in the slightest. And the story had a surprising amount of depth.
In a sentence: Take a chance, it's worth it.
