I honestly can't understand how you could possibly think, walking out of this film, that it was good. It's one of those films that people pretend to like to look superior, to look artsy, but in reality are bored shitless. It's like when people laugh at Shakespeare jokes. Don't get me wrong, i love Shakespeare but his plays aren't laugh out loud funny. Being able to understand the joke doesn't make it funny. Anyhow, Paterson. It's a film that is genuinely like a parody of an arthouse film. My bad experience of the film may have had something to do with the fact that I had a shitty cough and was fighting not to splutter all over the people in the row in front of me. Yeah, that was potentially why. But honestly, I found it so, well- nothing- that I don't think I could ever bring myself to re-visit it.
In a sentence: Yeah no.
