Blew my fucking mind.

To be this revolutionary over 80 yrs ago is astonishing to watch. The editing, camera work, music are all so modern i couldn't quite believe what i was watching. Ok, this is a film with absolutely no plot and some possibly dark political undertones, but just witnessing it for what it is: some beautifully shot snapshots into Russian life, is incredible.

Its insane how this hr and a half, of what is essentially randomly placed shots all rolled together as a form of experimentation, to make something so beautiful? its mind blowing. Completely mind blowing how this simple experiment turns into this really profound meditation into human life is breathtaking.

In a sentence: I'm aware very little of that made any sense- and even if this makes sense - but it truly is an astonishing film to watch.

P.s. I used the poster below for an art project years ago - had no idea it was part of such a revolutionary film!
