The Duff

This was a surprisingly good coming of age film. I think. I watched this a while ago and so can't exactly remember my immediate feelings after watching it but i'm pretty sure i found it funny. Or maybe I'm confusing it with 'The Edge of Seventeen' but i think it was alright. It at least made me laugh a few times, if not more. Although the whole idea of 'The Duff' was slightly amusing the ending was so cliched and annoying and more than a little unbelievable. Having said that Mae Whitman was a beacon of light shining in the muggy nature of this comedy. That was also really cliched, I guess its hard not to be.

In a sentence: Pretty certain this is a solid film. Either way it's certainly not "mean girls meets Bridesmaids", reckon the "hilarious" thing about that is the notion this film would even come close to either of those films.
